Sprucefield is a major out-of-town retail park at Blaris, on the outskirts of Lisburn and ten miles from Belfast.  The first phase of the Sprucefield retail park was completed in November 2003. The 21,500 sq metre retail park is anchored by B&Q, Sainsbury’s and Curry’s and has circa 1,350 car parking spaces. Delap & Waller was appointed as Building Services Engineers for the Site Infrastructure Services and fit-out of B&Q.

Delap & Waller has now completed the design for the second phase, a 5.3 hectare site which is subject to planning approval and will consist of a John Lewis Department Store, Next plus 19 units including fashion, home ware, leisure as well as cafes and eateries. This second phase will provide twenty-seven additional units and an additional 240,000 sq ft of retail space. The development will provide 1250 car parking spaces via a multi-storey car park and surface car parking. The building will be over two storeys and have lifts and escalators.
