Delap & Waller were appointed by DLRCC to provide Engineering Services Consultancy on their behalf for the proposed new tennis club at Newtown Park.
Our role was to provide an initial scheme design for the development, which then developed into a detailed design complete with a full suite of M&E documents suitable for tendering. The project was procured through a Public Works Contract (GCCC) and M&E sub-contractors and specialists were appointed through the successful Main Contractor.
The design included the development of a new dedicated club facility along with interlinking existing temporary pavilion buildings and tennis court floodlighting into the new LV distribution system.
Our services design package included HVAC for both Retail & Back of House areas heating.

We worked as part of integrated Architect led design team for the project which also involved reviewing value engineering options with both the Client and design team during the post tender phase.
During the 12 month fit-out period our remit was to check quality, ensure compliance with specifications and to report on progress of the services installations to our Client. Prior to handover we verified the commissioning of all the services system and installations. We also fulfilled the role of BCAR ancillary certifier on the project.
