A&E Department & Ward Blocks

The new A&E Department was commissioned by the HSE to replace the existing A & E Department located within the existing General Hospital Building. The new A & E Department comprises of an external car park facility, ambulance set down area a ground floor area with 24 emergency beds. First and second floor ward blocks with 20 beds each and a third floor ward block with 14 beds. The fourth floor was part fitted out for a future ICU unit. A new plant room was installed at roof level.The building has 3 No. Lifts connecting all floors. The new A & E Building was linked back to the existing General Hospital Building at all levels via link corridors.
