Adamstown is an Urban Development of approximately 10,000 residential units and infrastructure in Dublin South-West. Delap & Waller are continuously involved in this project which includes both private and affordable housing.

Most recently Delap & Waller were involved in the development of apartments for Adamstown Square and in the development of townhouses for Adamstown Sentinel.

Delap & Waller were involved in the design of 9 No. two & three bedroom apartments for Adamstown Square.

The Sentinel Townhouses consist of 11 No. 3 bedroom houses, all with private gardens and allocated parking. The homes are spacious comprising some 106 sq. meters (1140sq. ft).

Delap & Waller provided full Mechanical and Electrical design services for these projects. In addition to the normal complement and range of Building Services a variety of specialist installations were designed and incorporated into the building to reduce the cost of heating and hot water production including:

  • Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation
  • Solar Panels for generating hot water
  • Climate heating control which allows residents to control their heating online from anywhere they want at any time

Delap & Waller are providing  detailed sustainability visions including district heating, combined heat & Power, rainwater harvesting, DEAP evaluations, building simulation and modelling.

In addition, Smarthome cabling was fitted throughout the houses which means easy and plentiful access to phone, TV and internet services.

New Part L regulations were in force which meant renewable technologies complying with New Part L regulations had to be incorporated into the design process.

This project was conducted under a GCC form of contract.
