Finding a balanced ethos for sustainable development and socially responsible design was a key factor in our ISO 14001 accreditation.
Low carbon technology is a vital part of modern design, but it is the act of making sure that real people can accept, understand and operate those technologies economically, that transforms good design into sustainable development. 
Working with the client early on in the project, our specialists help to formulate passive ventilation strategies and conduct solar studies to create inherently low energy buildings, that need fewer and smaller M&E systems. We do this by using dynamic simulations on 3D building models to produce Energy Performance certifications and system CO2 and running cost comparisons. Our models can be simple enough to produce and EPC for a house, or sophisticated enough to calculate the effect of high occupancies on conditioned space temperatures.
